Program Description:
Join UMass Lowell Department of Art & Design in Japan!
Partnering with Fitchburg State University & study abroad partner organization, ISA WorldStrides,
enroll in a 3-credit spring semester course with travel to Japan in June 2022!

The Experience:

Explore the contrasting beauty of traditional, 1000-year old temples and architecture, followed by video games and Tokyo street fashion
Walk through the bustling cities of Tokyo and Kyoto, hike the Samurai Trail and mountains of Narai
Gain a deeper understanding of Japan through readings, films, language, and cultural etiquette lessons
Visit the world’s leading video game companies such as Creatures Inc. and technology art exhibitions by Team Lab
