COURSE IN PHOTOGRAPHY
WITH TRAVEL TO THE AÇORES ISLANDS, PORTUGAL


Course Information
This course is offered as a 3-credit advanced elective, focusing on the medium of photography and will take place in the spring semester of 2019. Through readings, research, and image-making students will work on developing their visual storytelling skills through community engagement with the large Azorean community in Lowell, MA exploring their connections with the mid-Atlantic islands they left behind. The group will take a trip to the Açores at the end of May, exact dates TBD. Students with previous photography experience are encouraged to apply, but students from other humanities related programs would be strongly considered.
