Course Information
This course is offered as a 3-credit advanced elective, focusing on the medium of photography and will take place in the spring semester of 2019. Through readings, research, and image-making students will work on developing their visual storytelling skills through community engagement with the large Azorean community in Lowell, MA exploring their connections with the mid-Atlantic islands they left behind. The group will take a trip to the Azores at the end of May.
Students with previous photography experience are encouraged to apply, but students from other humanities related programs would be strongly considered.
