Estimate Program Costs: (NOTE: the following information is of spring 2018, summer 2019 will be posted asap, see professor for more detail)
  • Confirmation deposit - $350, check/money order/credit card accepted
  • Airline ticket (estimated) - $1000-1300, purchase on own AFTER professor gives the go-ahead/suggested itinerary
    • Note: students will be provided an itinerary to follow as it is recommended to fly as a group
  • Program fee balance - $1193-1650 (based on # students enrolled), due prior to travel
    • Program fee covers housing, meals in Sao Luis, breakfast daily in Lisbon, airport transfers, entries to sites and attractions related to course, transportation pass in Lisbon,
  • Out-of-pocket other - recommended $500 for personal spending throughout program and lunch and dinner daily in Lisbon
  • The College of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences will offer the "Dean's World Ready Scholarship" to all students in the college applying to this faculty-led course with travel. 
  • Scholarship awards are $500-1000
  • Completed applications are due by Feb. 15 and can be submitted to the Office of Study Abroad, University Crossing room 370 or
