Academics:
  • 3 UML credits, WLPO 3020, Special Topics in Portuguese Studies: Lisbon in Film
  • Students who want to extend their experience to 4-weeks can earn an additional 3 transfer credits in Portuguese language (any level). Additional costs apply. See study abroad office directly for details.

Scholarships:
Note: Students can submit completed applications via email - studyabroad@uml.edu or in person.
  1. Saab Center for Portuguese Studies Summer in Lisbon Scholarship - UMass Lowell students are eligible to apply for an award. Students will receive application after admittance.
  2. Fine Arts Humanities & Social Sciences, Dean's World Ready Scholarship - UMass Lowell students in the College of FAHSS are eligible to apply for an award in the amount of $500-1000.  Students will receive application after admittance.
