Program Costs (in USD): Costs paid to UMass Lowell consist of the Program Fee and Tuition/Registration Fee.  The Program Fee includes all inclusions listed below.
  • Program Fee**: $2,675.00
    • Deposit requirement: $550.00 (this is payable towards the program fee, not on top of fee)
  • UMass Lowell Tuition/Registration: $1050 (3 credits) - Summer Tuition & Fees see here: https://gps.uml.edu/tuition
Payments for Program Costs:Tuition and balance of Program Fee after deposit paid ($2,125.00) - billed to the student via the student billing system in SiS.  All SiS student charges follow the University summer bill due dates. Deposit is due within 3 weeks of acceptance to confirm enrollment.

Out-of-pocket costs:
  • Personal Spending - Students are encouraged to plan for $500-1000 for personal spending money (free time and emergency)
  • Transportation to/from Strasbourg - Students will need to self-purchase round-trip flight to/from Frankfurt or Zurich as well as a train pass to/from Strasbourg. Do not purchase travel until instructed. Students will be guided and encouraged to travel as a group.
Program Fee Inclusions:
  • Hotel accommodations, double occupancy,
  • 3 meals daily
  • Pre-departure & on-site orientation
  • International health insurance, 24/7 on-site assistance
  • Transportation for activities daily
  • Entries to all scheduled events
  • Day trips to Metz and Colmar, France, Heidelberg & Freiburg, Germany, Basel, Switzerland
  • Plenty of free time to explore!
Scholarships: Students should have a plan to fund their costs in case the scholarships are not received.
1. Students are automatically eligible for the Dean's Office Study Abroad Scholarship once they sign-up and are accepted to enroll. Award amounts are $500-1000 on average.
