To participate, you pay in cash on-site the day of each activity. The activity may cost 0$-40$, averaging approximately 10euro for the day trips as you already would have purchased a tram pass for the month (view list of excursions)
  • Travel/Transportation: Note: Do not book any flights/transportation/hotels until consulting with the study abroad office
    • Round-trip airfare - it is recommended to purchase separately, to save costs, one, round-trip flight from the USA to Paris/Paris to USA and then one, round-trip flight Paris to Bordeaux/Bordeaux to Paris.
    • Personal transportation on-site - Tram pass for the month is approximately 30euro
    • Hotel if needed - in some instances students must book one night in a hotel either in Bordeaux or in Paris, depending on flight schedules and Move-in/Move-out times. Students should consult the study abroad office for recommendations or questions.
  • Meals - As noted above, homestay housing includes 2 meals/day. There is no meal plan for students who opt for dorm, however there are multiple options within walking distance around campus to purchase eat-in/take-away meals at a student-geared cost. The dorm rooms each have a kitchenette which has mini-fridge, stove-top cook-top and sink. Cooking utensils, and groceries are easily purchased at a nearby market. Students should plan for approximately 10euro/meal but of course this can be reduced or increased per personal choice/actions.
  • Laundry is available but at student's own cost
