Program Costs (in USD): Costs paid to UMass Lowell consist of the Program Fee and Tuition/Registration Fee. The Program Fee includes all inclusions listed below.
- Program Fee**: $3499 - 3 credits; $5099 - 6 credits
- Deposit: $550 (this is paid towards the program fee, not on top of it) This is due upon acceptance to confirm your space.
- UMass Lowell Tuition/Registration: $1050; Division of Online & Continuing Education Tuition & Fees see here: https://gps.uml.edu/tuition
- Tuition and balance due of the Program Fee - Billed to the student via the student billing system in SiS. All student charges follow the University semester bill due dates
- Personal Spending - Students are encouraged to plan for $1000 for personal spending money and meals
- Round-trip airline ticket - Students will be provided guidance for arrival date/time as we will provide organized airport reception/transfer in Lisbon. Do not purchase any tickets until this information is provided.
- Airport reception/transfer on arrival day in Lisbon

- 4 Group meals - arrival evening, 2 during sites/visits, 1 farewell meal
- Lisbon transit pass, unlimited transit
- Cultural Excursions (subject to change)
- On site Orientation; Afternoon walk through the city.
- Access/tours to local monuments & museums, for example, the Museu Calouste Gulbenkian.
- Welcome reception
- Program-integrated study tours outside of Lisbon, for example, Sintra.
- Plus free time to explore on your own!

- Saab Center for Portuguese Studies Summer in Lisbon Scholarship - UMass Lowell students are eligible to apply for an award. Students will receive application after admittance.

- Pell Grant Recipients/Eligible - Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship has partnered with Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD) in establishing the Gilman-FLAD Portugal Scholarship, a highly selective award for underrepresented U.S. students to study in Portugal through the Study in Portugal Network (SiPN).
